Executive Function Index: A Scale Adaptation Study

This study aimed to adapt the Executive Function Index (Spinella, 2005) Turkish. The psychometric characteristics of scale were determined in sample groups where participants university students. linguistic equivalence was tested with participation 88 people, while data from 605 used test construct and criterion validity reliability measurement tool. 383 females 219 males participated study. age range between 16 31, a mean 21.93 (SD=2.47). In order identify Index, Explanatory factor analysis, Linear regression Pearson correlation t-test performed, Cronbach’s alpha internal consistency coefficient calculated. administered Frontal System Behavior Inventory, Barrat Impulsivity Scale Short Form, Interpersonal Reactivity Scale. explanatory analysis conducted for showed that Turkish version had same number sub-tests as original Scale, coefficients ranged .54 .76. impulse/impulse control, strategic planning, organization, empathy motivational impulse. linear significantly predicted total score, gender did not predict score significantly. results significant only control moderate effect size. performed mainly significant. findings largely similar form scale. As result, research indicated could be measure executive functions
